1st layer of the mattress - polyurethane foam (PUR)

High-quality polyurethane foam is the softer side of the mattress. The foam is equally firm and elastic across the entire surface. On the mattress firmness scale, it is medium-firm (3 out of 1-5). This firmness meets the requirements for children's mattresses for everyday sleeping.

2nd layer of the mattress - VISCO memory foam

You might know memory foam as lazy or viscoelastic foam. The unique property of memory foam is its ability to immediately adapt to the body of the person lying on it and return to its original state once they get up. This type of foam is recommended more for adults or people with health issues.

However, sleeping on this side is more suitable for older children (around 12 years). The height of the memory foam layer is 2-3 cm, which meets the recommended maximum for older children. As long as children are still growing, they need to sleep on the side with PUR foam, which retains its shape and does not change. Therefore, sleeping on the memory foam layer is more suitable for younger children occasionally or once they grow older.

It is up to the children which side of the mattress they prefer to use. To ensure the mattress retains its longevity, don't forget to get a mattress protector.
